On 18 July, PCDA's President Charlotte George moderated a Careers Huddle session with panellists, Jeffrey Wai Meng Chan (Dr), MSPS, Evan Loke and Melvin Chia and about 30 participants. PCDA Singapore encourages all our members. Organised by Workforce Singapore, this session focused on how Artificial Intelligence is transforming career coaching by augmenting how practitioners assess, guide, and support clients. AI tools can analyze large datasets to identify emerging career trends, match individuals to roles based on skills and preferences, and provide real-time feedback on resumes or interview responses. These technologies enable more personalized, scalable, and evidence-based coaching. However, AI also raises ethical considerations around bias, data privacy, and the risk of over-reliance on automation. Ultimately, the most effective career coaching integrates AI’s analytical power with the human coach’s empathy, contextual understanding, and professional judgment. We wish to thank Florence Tang, Shawn Moi (MoC, GCDF, CCSCC) and Ravinthiren M. for this collab!
