Resilient Engagement Masterclass by Dr Roberta Borgen (21 and 22 Nov 2024)
This Masterclass, based on the Career Engagement Model by Deirdre Pickerell and Roberta Borgen highlighted the dynamic, ever-changing interactions between challenge and capacity.
The challenge component is seen from a confluence of motivating work and meaningful opportunities, while the capacity component comprises resources, relationships, workload, well-being and fit.
The intersection of challenge and capacity will result in greater engagement by the staff member and the further apart the interaction, the greater the disengagement.
Empower Awards 2023 (15 Dec 2023)
Through the Empower Awards, PCDA aspires to elevate the significance of Career Planning, Career Engagement, and the meaningful dialogue that should transpire between employers and employees during convocation. This accolade aims to recognize the endeavors of individuals and organizations that understand the importance of taking ownership of these critical aspects of the working journey.
Launch of the Transformational Skills Framework for Career Development (11 Aug 2023)
PCDA’s Transformational Skills Framework for Career Development was launched on 11 Aug 2024 to a large crowds of Career Development and HR practitioners from various industries.
PCDA launched this set of six Transformational Skills towards a holistic development of oneself, regardless of their current roles and one’s life stages. This is akin to the cement or putty that bonds the building blocks of existing frameworks and fills any gaps in between.
MOU with Prudential Assurance Singapore
The MOU signed with Prudential Assurance signed on focuses on creating the holistic support structures in the form of Career Counselling sessions for Gen-zer’s.
PCDA 5th Annual General Meeting
The People and Career Development Association (PCDA) organised its Annual General Meeting on 5 Mar 2023. It was a memorable event with members networking and catching up. One of the agenda for the evening was to elect and appoint the new EXCO team.
Tee-Up
PCDA members were honored to be invited to contribute and be part of journey of Career Development discovery on. Working with Gen Zs, understanding their needs and working with them was amazing.
